Every day our housekeeping service will bring you clean towels and remove your trash. You are expected to do your own dishes and light housekeeping.

Check Out Time 10:00 a.m. Central Time the day of departure.
During the Summer season the minimum length of stay is two nights. For confirmation, we require two nights deposit for first and last night of your stay. Holiday weekends – minimum 3 nights stay.
Additional Amenities
The Trading Post carries many items to help keep your packing light, your vacation on track, things you may have forgotten and new things to try. Offerings including groceries, ice, beer, bait, tackle, sunscreen, beach accessories, personal care and basic over the counter medicine/medical supplies, park stickers, fishing and hunting permits, select boat and car parts, camping supplies, floating and tubing inflatables, Interstate batteries, an ATM, gifts and more.
Also on-site, we offer a coin operated laundromat and shower house (temporarily closed during remodeling). No ethanol, unleaded gasoline to keep your vehicle on the road and your boat on the water. Propane fill station on the property to keep your grills and campers going. Stop by the Trading Post and ask for assistance.

Cabin occupancy refers to any one utilizing the cabin services, e.g.: toilets, showers. Children 6 and under stay free. Dirty dishes, excessive uncleanliness/damage in cabins with or without pets will be charged a minimum of $75 + any damages incurred.
Pet Policy
Pets are welcome with permission and two (2) maximum per cabin.
There will be an additional $35.00/per stay charge for the first pet; or $50 for two pets.
We require pets be kenneled if left unattended in cabins. You are responsible for picking up after your pets inside and outside while on the Merritt Trading Post property.
Extreme uncleanliness in cabins with or without pets will be charged an additional $75.00 minimum + any damages incurred.
You are solely responsibly for any damages or liabilities incurred by bringing your pet on property of Water’sEdge Recreation, LLC dba Merritt Trading Post Resort and Water’sEdge Restaurant.
No fish or game cleaning permitted anywhere on property as an area is provided in state campgrounds; additionally, no disposal of remains on Merritt Trading Post property. If this is not followed, additional charges will be incurred.
No open fires on Merritt Trading Post Beaches and Property. Fire rings are provided with each cabin and cannot be moved.
Merritt resort is a privately owned resort. One of it’s best features is the ability to get away from everything. Our beautiful location in the Sandhills accomplishes this, but also because of our location, we can’t just turn on the vacancy sign like most hotels. Due to this: We cannot be responsible for adverse weather or fishing success. You are financially responsible for all cabin days reserved in your name. Of course, we will do our best to accommodate you, and if possible, reschedule. Cancellations must reach us 30 days prior to your arrival date.
